Join the Alaska Creative Woodworkers on January 7 and 8 as we build a set of five nesting oval Shaker boxes. Don Faulkenbury will be teaching this very popular class. Since we don’t have oak trees, in Alaska, we are planning to use yellow cedar for the carved box class with Peter Follansbee. Peter had never worked with yellow cedar so we sent him a few pieces to get his opinion as to whether it would be suitable. You can read what he had to say on his blog.
